New Moon in Taurus ~ Riding the Waves to Authentic Presence!

New Moon June 2013
Actual Time of Celestial Event:  Saturday June 8th @ 9.56 am MDT
Sun’s position:            23 degrees Taurus (The Bull)
Moon’s position:         23 degrees Taurus (The Bull)

The Insights:
This New Moon, we are in the embrace of the Bull and revisiting the Venus transit of last year and 2004: this conjunction of Sun and Moon happens just 2° on from the conjunction of Sun and Venus (21° on June 5/6th 2012) and at the same degree of Sun and Venus in 2004 (23° June 8th, 2004.)

“Well, so what?” you might ask.  This can be useful to us if we are willing to work honestly with our own interior being and its exterior expression in our relationships, group affiliations and surroundings.  Reread the Insights from the Venus Transit event HERE, (and even a peek into what I wrote about the 2004 Transit HERE) and recognize we are spiraling up upon the same themes at this cycle.

Venus Transit 2004 ~ an early Sidereal Say So with Sally

Since the New Moon of June 8th 2013 is working with the Venus transits of 2004 & 2012, I've brought sometime out of the archives for you!  Click to take a look!

Full Moon in Taurus & Scorpio ~ Death Comes to All Things!

Actual Time of Celestial Event:  Friday, May 24th @ 10:24 pm MDT
Sun’s position:            9 degrees Taurus (The Bull)
Moon’s position:         9 degrees Scorpio (The Scorpion)

The Insights:

The two zodiacal beings of this Full Moon are dear beloveds of mine. I love Taurus and Scorpio because of their primary place in the zodiac – the Sumarians defined the Sidereal Zodiac around these two and the bright stars of Aldebaran (in Taurus) and Antares (Scorpio) with them.  Perhaps this is because of the potency and pertinence of their gifts: These stars and the beings of Taurus and Scorpio mediate the realms of Life and Death.  We as fragile human beings know (even if we pretend not to) that death comes to all things, including us some day.

Despite the intensity of what their opposition brings, this moon cycle is “set” on a beach, with the setting sun ahead upon the waters, the rising full moon at our backs.  The Star Beings ask us to lie down upon the sand, within reach of the moving, ever moving waters.  They showed me two things of importance to gain from this image that is in some sense metaphorical, but is (in their view) literally describing the energies and potential outcomes of this cycle.

New Moon in Aries ~ Touch Source & Begin Again!

Actual Time of Celestial Event:  Wednesday May 9th, 5:26 pm MDT
Sun’s position:            25 degrees Aries (The Ram)
Moon’s position:         25 degrees Aries (The Ram)

The Insights:

This New Moon offers, yet again, another beginning!  This moon we encounter Aries the first being of the zodiac within a New Moon, the beginning of the moon’s cycle.  It seems that this year is rich, requiring us to go deep and wide.  Even while much is happening in and around us, we are to not rush getting things off the ground.

Generally, Aries is associated with great will force, and pushing through into the new!  Aries is considered able to initiate impulses but not always able to follow through.  This is a down to earth description of the Ram, but the Star Beings asked me to illuminate Aries as understood esoterically/in its highest as this will guide us this cycle.

Full Moon in Aries & Libra ~ Tiny Voices, Bold Moves!

Actual Time of Celestial Event:  Thursday April 25th, @ 1:57 pm MDT
Sun’s position:            11 degrees Aries (The Ram)

Moon’s position:         11 degrees Libra (The Scales)

Insights:
This Full Moon is expansive ~ all is becoming alive and emerging from its protective seed coat.  This moon cycle marks the Beginning of Something, even while your preparations have been weeks in the works (if not longer!)

This cycle brings renewal, when all old things are made again new.  The Sun is in Aries sidereally; we are feeling the first being of the zodiac, the Ram. This Star Being is wonderfully equipped to bust us open.  The Ram is associated with Source, the “impulse to become” and the magic of new beginnings.

While there is joy in that, I also felt a deep emotional poignancy around this moon cycle.  Tears may come, as we take hold of the renewal that is ours and let go of how things used to be, dropping them into the earth, the compost, the water, the river of life for blessing and release.  Tears may come as new life breaks open our skin! And isn’t it the water that rinses away the enzymes that hold the seedlings back? Isn’t it the water that tells the seeds it is time to sprout?

New Moon in Pisces ~ Riding the Waves Consciously!

New Moon April 2013
Actual Time of Celestial Event:  Wednesday April 10th, 3:35 am MDT

Sun’s position:            26 degrees Pisces (The Fishes)

Moon’s position:         26 degrees Pisces (The Fishes)

The Insights:
This New Moon, we are offered the grace of an easy, soft moon.  The Star Beings suggest it is a time to coast along with the energies we have set in motion thus far in 2013. We are encouraged to rest, to dream and to recognize that the energies of spring are percolating and working within and through us without additional effort ~ especially those of us who are riding the waves of the seasons consciously.

Full Moon in Pisces & Aquarius ~ Pause and Contemplate!

Sidereal Insights
Full Moon
Actual Time of Celestial Event:  Wednesday, March 27th 2013 @ 3:26 am
Sun’s position:            12 degrees Pisces (The Fishes)
Moon’s position:         12 degrees Virgo (The Mother)

The Insights:

The first piece of wisdom that comes to us from this Full Moon is “pause.”  We are encouraged to p.a.u.s.e… before we leap into spring and scatter those seed packets!  I was shown charmingly colored eggs, each symbolizing one of our upcoming projects and intentions of 2013 ~ and they said “Don’t crack the eggs open yet!  Now it is time to decorate the outside to prepare, bless and consecrate your endeavors with playful ritual.”

This is the first ‘homework’ (of two) this moon: create a little ceremony for yourself in which you color, paint and bless one egg for each of the projects that you intend for 2013.  Call to the Divine Ones that you have asked to ‘look over’ your work. (See New Moon of March 11th for details about that.)  Of course, you can vary this ritual in any way you choose to suit your routines but please don’t miss this chance to harvest the cosmic support that is blessing our new beginnings!
