The
Insights:
This Full Moon meets
us with the very bright, very round, very shiny Full Moon ~ so bright it is
featureless, just a white disk, like the sun.
This is the Full Moon of
Leo! A Big Sunflower, teeny and numerous yellow ‘flames’
peeking around its broad heart heavily laden with seeds, which swirl like the
galaxy in expanding spiral patterns.
I am struck by the
perfection of the seeds’
patterning ~ the grace and magic are palpable within these images. This is, as you may know, an expression of
what mathematics calls the Fibonacci sequence and geometry, the Golden
Mean. These are humanity’s naming of
what is the beautiful and natural unfolding of all life. We can see it within every level of creation:
spiral galaxies, the rings of Saturn, pine cones & sea shells, your very
own ears and hands and living cells.
This orderly process
of expansion / growth is featured within this moon cycle. It is not intellectual, though we can
understand it with our thinking. It is
not emotional, though we may feel deeply moved.
It does not happen because we make it happen, though our participation is
vital for bringing the wisdom seeds of our own sunflower hearts into the world
now!
