The Lunar Lowdown – a few notes

While not a transcript of our current video by any means,
I’ve included the notes below if you’d prefer to read or for referencing the information later!

Actual Time of Celestial Event: Friday June 23rd, 2017 @ 8:30 pm MDT
Sun’s position:           8 degrees Gemini (The Twins)
Moon’s position:        8 degrees Gemini (The Twins)

Gemini as Vessel: Widen your stance, settle into your feet, broaden your rib cage, breathe and receive.
When I asked the Star Beings what they want shared for this new moon in Gemini I felt the symbol of Gemini with its rooted feet and it’s receptive bowl held to the heavens. And the Star Beings indicate how the two vertical supports for these half moons (which represent the vessel of the Human Being) can move out from one another, increasing the space within which we can hold our lives, and one another in compassion and forgiveness and growth.

As I deepened into this vision with the Star Beings I was struck by the bodily sensation of receiving into the core of my being an energy that then pulses outward horizontally in two ‘layers’. I immediately experience] Gemini as the vessel who receives, holds something precious for the Star Beings to be given back into the earth at the longest night this winter. It is at this time of year when the light is strong that we receive the Star seed impulse into our bodies…

To be a vessel for star energy that arrives at this peak of light is an important function. Yet trained as we are, to believe in our personalities’ “deep importance” we may want to know more about the seed and what it is and how it connects to us.  But upon asking the Star Beings about this, I see instead the sacred river bank that channels the life-giving waters humbly. The river banks do not ask themselves why they are so special – it is simply function of their form. So too are we asked by the Star Beings to set our legs wide and throw our arms open in receptivity and allow that light that is ours to carry for six months to come and land within us. Aho!

Gemini is the constellation of bilateral symmetry; a huge pattern used on earth to build beings. While not perfectly symmetrical this is the pattern of cell growth and expansion. So we start to replicate and duplicate and expand…

For this new Moon however, Jupiter is exactly squared Mars. This brings the idea that this New Moon cycle, this two weeks, may not be the easiest time to move forward in big ways on important projects without navigating the square between Jupiter and Mars. While they have similar vibration, navigate = dealing with your Mars’ impatience and Jupiter’s overly optimistic outlook that could foul up your plans. Take care to not fire off Half cocked nor assume resources are available in your storehouses without first checking.

Jupiter in Virgo:
I also remember that I want to speak about Jupiter’s presence in Virgo at this time. Jupiter was conjunct Spica January 20, February 23 and will be again September 5. I want to offer this information to encourage all of us to not only eat well but to eat of the nourishment that comes from the heavens. The Divine mother is strengthened through the support of Jupiter and we have some opportunities to work with this energy in the coming months. Mercury and the Sun have just been conjunct [June 21st] and so bring a measure of reason to what you’re planning. Be a bit rigorous in plotting your course rather than just winging it. And examine the plans to be honest with yourself about your personal alignment with this work. In other words, being clear that the dreams are yours and that you are not simply trying to fulfill someone else’s dreams or become something for the sake of gaining approval from an important authority figure in your life. Again in other words, if these are not your dreams but you want to do them anyway find clarity on your motivation. Perhaps you are being paid and it’s simply your job. Or you have made the conscious choice of sacrifice to implement someone else’s ideas. You are always free to make these choices but bringing the truth to the surface for yourself can help mitigate some of the dangers around [the] Jupiter and Mars Square.
