The Lunar Lowdown – a few notes

While not a transcript of our current video by any means,
I’ve included the notes below if you’d prefer to read or for referencing the information later!

Actual Time of Celestial Event: Saturday October 31st, 2029 @ 8:50 am MDT
Sun’s position:           14 degrees Libra (The Scales)
Moon’s position:        14 degrees Aries (The Ram)
Bonus planets:          Uranus 14d Aries

You probably don’t need me to tell you this full moon is intense.

In the midst of these swirling intense times, I reach across the boundaries of normal waking consciousness to find our guidance and insights into this full moon that shines from the center of Aries and the Sun from the middle of Libra.

I feel first and foremost the solace that comes from an authentic and deep root into the energetic center of our planet, woven to oneself. Immediately the deep permanence of the life-form we call earth, with its sense of long timeframes and true stillness, de-escalates my own anxiety, my own swirly-ness.

For this moon cycle I believe that we will have our hands full, returning again and again to our center to find stability and connection as the wild world swirls around us.

As at every Full Moon, we strive to strike a balance between these opposing forces in the sky, that these living beings mediate. In this case, the Sun shines before the constellation of the Scales: Libra, the constellation of partnership, cooperation, and harmony. The Moon stands before the first constellation of Aries that resonates with the void out of which all things come, the Godhead, the assertive urge to manifest. It is a place of raw beginnings. And the Moon isn’t there on its own.

The Full Moon is closely conjunct Uranus, a planet of sudden change & disruption ~ a craving for the “new”.  Together, they can make us extremely emotional, impatient with the status quo, with the way things have been… and can push us over into unnecessary novelty (maybe over-consumption) and a dangerous dismissal of the wisdom and stability given to us through the hard work of those who have come before us.

And there’s more: this Full Moon cycle embraces the United States election day (and following days of determining the outcome),  the ongoing pandemic that is entering another upward wave not only in my country but elsewhere,  fires in the American West and other world climate change events continue…

With ubiquitous media & screens we become intimately aware of events – every day – that are physically and practically beyond our ability to impact. Yet the animal being of our body cannot discern this and can become quickly overwhelmed, losing heart, losing hope.

All of this might just feel like a “perfect, & terrible storm”…and yet…

And YET! You & I have the capacity to work energetically, to reach into the resources of the unseen realms, aligning with them to allow them to pass through us into the world, unconditionally.

I am speaking to straightforward energetic resources such as: being grounded. Being centered. Of being in communion with the scales of Libra, a boat upon the waves, shifting and flowing and compensating and not overturning! Rather returning again and again to center to find stability and connection as the wild world swirls around us.

And please remember another resource woven to this celestial event of Full Moon of October 31st: Halloween ~ otherwise known as Samhain, All Saints Day, dia de los Muertos… the time when the veils are thin between this world and the world of our ancestors.  These benevolent ones who have gone before us, who have lived through times of great change and have build spiritual and physical foundations upon which we live today… they are a resource to us. To you.

This cycle, learn to be like the life-form we call earth, finding deep root and true stillness.  Be like a boat, riding out the perfect storm’s waves by returning to center over and over again. Be like a lantern, allowing the light of ancestral wisdom to shine through you unimpeded & unconditionally into this wild world!
